LaPorte Acquires Houston Firm

Metairie, La.-based IPA 200 firm LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors (FY22 net revenue of $31.4 million) is merging in Gomez & Company of Houston.

Founded in 1985, Gomez & Company provides a wide array of accounting services to a client base made up primarily of non-profit organizations, charter schools and energy companies. As part of the deal, firm president and owner Benjamin Gomez will join other team members as a director at LaPorte.

“Gomez & Company’s primary industry strengths dovetail well with our formalized industry groups and allows us to build on that client base,” says LaPorte president and CEO Eric Bosch.
