FORVIS Acquires Software Technology and Consulting Firm

Looking to boost its public sector capabilities, FORVIS (FY23 net revenue of $1.7 billion) has acquired Marquette, Mich.-based software technology and consulting company Thales Consulting.

Founded in 2002, Thales Consulting creates software and provides consulting services related to government financial reporting. The company developed The Reporting Solution (TRS), a software as a service (SasS) platform that streamlines the preparation of financial reports for hundreds of public sector clients across the country. When the deal becomes effective on Aug. 1, eight Thales team members will transition to FORVIS, including president Joe Stimac, who will be joining the firm as a director.

“Thales Consulting is an established team that brings an impressive skill set to FORVIS,” says Denny Ard, partner and national director of EDGE, the innovation lab of FORVIS. “Their product, their unique knowledge of the public sector industry and their focus on excellent client service are some of the many reasons we decided to explore working together.”
