UHY Grows In Home State With Acquisition

Farmington Hills, Mich.-based IPA 100 firm UHY LLP (FY21 net revenue of $215.8 million) is merging in Cadillac, Mich.-based Baird Cotter & Bishop PC.

“UHY is excited about our continued growth in Michigan,” says UHY managing director Scott Miller. “We expanded into western Michigan late last year with our combination with JVTR and are looking forward to expanding into northern Michigan with the team at Baird Cotter & Bishop.”

With a history that dates back to 1924, Baird Cotter & Bishop offers a full range of accounting services, including auditing, compilation, review, payroll services, tax planning, tax compliance, estate planning and estate tax compliance work. The firm concentrates heavily on audits of local units of government in Michigan. The deal adds 40 professionals across two Michigan offices – one in Cadillac and the other in Traverse City – to the UHY team.

“Baird Cotter & Bishop has vast experience serving government entities, which will deepen our bench as a trusted service provider to the public sector,” adds UHY’s Great Lakes RMP Tom Callan.
