Chicago-based IPA 100 firm Baker Tilly (FY22 net revenue of $1.31 billion) has appointed Thomas Walker as MP of its Central U.S. region, effective June 1. In this new role, he will oversee the firm’s operations and growth strategy across geographic markets in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Texas.

Walker joined Baker Tilly in 2007 after serving as chief administrative officer and general counsel of a federal savings bank. Prior to that position, he was a law firm partner focusing on M&A, divestitures, senior secured and mezzanine financing, private placements of securities and tax planning. In addition to his new role, Walker will continue as Illinois MP, a position he has held since 2012, and will also remain a managing director for Baker Tilly Capital LLC.

“Tom is a dynamic leader with a strategic mindset and a proven track record of building new ventures and developing high-performing teams,” says CEO Jeffrey Ferro. “His deep expertise in our industry and his commitment to our values will help drive continued success for our firm in the central region.”
