Hagerstown, Md.-based IPA 200 firm SEK CPAs & Advisors (FY21 net revenue of $25 million) has admitted Matthew Detar as a member of the firm. He will serve as a commercial audit partner for clients in the firm’s central and south-central Pennsylvania regions.
Detar’s experience includes financial statement audits, reviews and consultation on complex accounting and financial reporting matters such as derivatives, M&A, revenue recognition, expected credit losses and other technical accounting areas. He has also performed employee benefit plan audits, including audits of defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Prior to joining SEK, Detar spent 20 years of his career split between two international accounting firms, working with organizations in the manufacturing, distribution, construction, technology and financial institution industries, as well as organizations with private equity ownership.
