Andersen Grows U.S. Presence

Expanding its presence across the U.S., San Francisco-based IPA 100 firm Andersen (FY21 net revenue of $450.3 million) has, through the addition of partners and professionals from several firms to Andersen Tax LLC, grown its operations in Orange County, Calif., and added new offices in Des Moines, Iowa, and Pittsburgh.

“Over the last 10 years, we’ve been intensely focused on expanding our global platform to serve as a one-stop-shop for our clients, and these strategic additions in the U.S. enable us to continue to meet the growing tax, valuation and financial advisory needs of our clients stateside,” says Andersen CEO Mark Vorsatz. “In addition to being accretive to one another’s current capabilities, each of these groups is a strong cultural fit and we are fortunate to welcome them to the Andersen family.”

In Orange County, Andersen has admitted firm founder and president Jerry Rickmeyer and principal Darin Yonemura of Rickmeyer & Associates of Irvine, Calif., as managing directors. Rickmeyer & Associates specializes in tax services for corporations, high-net-worth individuals, partnerships and trusts.

Also in Orange County, Andersen has admitted founder Peter DeGregori of Vertical Advisors LLP of Newport Beach, Calif., as a managing director. Since 2007, Vertical Advisors has provided tax, business and financial advisory services to middle-market business owners and privately held companies across industries including construction, real estate, hospitality, consumer products, technology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, e-business, transportation, finance and agriculture.

In Des Moines, Andersen has admitted four new managing directors from Hamilton Juffer + Associates and HJN Advisors: Hamilton Juffer and HJN founder and MP Matt Juffer, Hamilton Juffer partner Brad Smerage, Hamilton Juffer partner Holly Larson and HJN’s Jeff Bratz.

Finally, in Pittsburgh, Andersen has admitted MP Gregory Kornick and tax partner Mark Mooney of Chemel Kornick & Mooney (CKM) as managing directors. The firm provides tax planning and compliance services to a broad clientele that includes family offices, ultra-high-net-worth families, and public and private businesses.

“These teams bring additional expertise and perspective to each of the markets they join,” says Andersen U.S. country managing director Dan DePaoli. “Likewise, our platform ensures that our clients have access to specialty services and deep technical knowledge wherever and whenever they need it, and that our people have access to world-class career development opportunities.”
