Sax Expands Again in NYC With Acquisition

Looking to grow its non-profit practice, Parsippany, N.J.-based IPA 100 firm Sax LLP (FY21 net revenue of $55.5 million) is merging in Schall & Ashenfarb CPAs of New York. The transaction marks the firm’s fourth recent acquisition in the New York area over the past year.

Founded in 1999, Schall & Ashenfarb provides accounting services to non-profit organizations throughout the tri-state area, including health and welfare organizations, arts and cultural institutions, educational organizations, charter schools, private foundations, international organizations and religious institutions.

“While expanding through strategic partnerships is a consistent growth goal we strive for, the most important factor is finding firms that align with our values and can easily fold into our operations,” says Sax CEO and MP Joseph Damiano. “We were fortunate to come across Schall & Ashenfarb CPAs in our search. They are truly dedicated to their principles of professionalism, responsiveness and quality, which is demonstrated in the results they deliver and their reputation in the region.”
