PYA Admits Two New Equity Principals

Mathis

Knoxville, Tenn.-based IPA 100 firm PYA PC (FY21 net revenue of $55.6 million) has admitted Barry Mathis and Andrew Stafford as equity principals.

Mathis joined PYA in 2016 as an IT principal. He has three decades of experience in IT and the health care industry as a CIO, CTO, senior IT audit manager and IT risk management consultant. He has performed and managed complicated technology assessments, EMR implementations, security audits and contract negotiations for some of the most sophisticated hospital systems in the country.

Stafford

Stafford joined the firm in 2012. His work for the transaction advisory services team includes M&A facilitation, quality of earnings analyses and other due diligence services, business valuation, feasibility studies, strategic planning and physician compensation analysis. He works with non-profit community hospitals, multi-hospital health systems, ambulatory service providers, physician practices, private equity investors and for-profit consolidators of health services on strategic and transactional matters.
