Allison Schlegelmilch, director of marketing at Lancaster, Pa.-based IPA 100 firm RKL LLP (FY20 net revenue of $88.6 million), has received the Association for Accounting Marketing’s (AAM) 2022 Marketer of the Year award. The winner was announced on May 2 at AAM’s Annual Summit.
In her role at RKL, Schlegelmilch leads the firm’s brand visibility, awareness and engagement strategies. Leading a team of nine, she oversees branding, advertising, public relations, content strategy and social media, events and new service marketing.
“Allison’s ability to create meaningful connections with audiences through integrated marketing campaigns routinely generates new business and opportunities our firm,” says CEO Ed Monborne. “She forgoes short-term tactics in favor of strategic initiatives that advance our goals and address emerging needs of clients and the marketplace.”
Among other efforts over her seven years as director of marketing, Schlegelmilch transformed RKL from a regional to a national brand. She has also helped generate demand for the firm’s specialized advisory services, entering new geographic markets and burnishing the firm’s credentials in several industry verticals. In 2021, Schlegelmilch spearheaded a new branding campaign for RKL, helped implement and adopt a new marketing automation and CRM solution, lent her perspective to the firm’s strategic plan and oversaw merger communications, brand integration and marketing onboarding for two mergers in November 2021 and January 2022.
