Focusing on the theme of “Career Sustainability: The New Power Skill,” registration is now open for the 2023 Accounting MOVE Project, an annual benchmarking research and advocacy report designed to help accounting and advisory firms detect, develop and drive competitive advantages from diversity initiatives and trends.
“Women want to work for firms where they can contribute and advance but with leadership that understands that being a successful professional is just part of who they are,” says Cindy Stanley, executive director for the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA), the association partner for the MOVE Project. “That is why it is important for firms to participate in programs like the Accounting MOVE Project. It helps identify firms that have cultures where women can thrive and succeed on their own terms.”
Another area the MOVE team plans to research this year is the idea of customized or scaled partnership models. In 2022, half of MOVE firms reported having some sort of scaled partnership track. The 2023 MOVE report will look at the deliberate design of customized partnership tracks, differentiate them from remote partnership and examine models that work sustainably.
The 2023 Accounting MOVE survey opens on April 20 and closes on July 15, with results set to be released on Oct. 24.
