Looking to increase its market share in the Indianapolis metropolitan area, Carmel, Ind.-based IPA 100 firm Blue & Co. LLC (FY21 net revenue of $108 million) is merging in IPA 500 firm Alerding CPA Group of Indianapolis, effective Dec. 1.
“Alerding is a perfect fit for Blue and our firm’s growth strategy,” says Blue & Co. MP Brad Shaw. “We are confident that the addition of the outstanding team from Alerding will help us deepen our ability to serve our clients throughout the Midwest, especially in Indianapolis.”
Founded in 1998 Alerding provides tax and accounting services to a wide variety of closely held and non-profit organizations across the Midwest. As part of the deal, more than 20 employees from Alerding – including directors (partners) Mike Staton, David Garrett, Jered Fuquay and Sarah Gregory – will join the Blue & Co. team. Lou Ann Taylor will also join Blue as a director emeritus.
