On the heels of their much-hyped megamerger, IPA 100 firms BKD and Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG) – now known as FORVIS – have also combined their BKD Wealth Advisors and DHG Wealth Advisors divisions to form FORVIS Wealth Advisors.
Steve Toomey, who has been with BKD Wealth Advisors for 20 years, will serve as president and MP of FORVIS Wealth Advisors, while Will Sneed, who has been with DHG Wealth Advisors for more than 15 years, will serve as executive vice president of the new firm. Jeff Layman will serve as chief investment officer after spending 22 years in a similar role for BKD Wealth Advisors.
“This merger gives clients access to a deepened pool of wealth management expertise, and the connection to our parent firm, FORVIS, provides clients access to a broad array of tax, accounting and advisory services as well,” says Toomey. “We’re extremely excited about the resources we can bring to bear for our clients as a combined entity.”
