Lawrenceville, Ga.-based Allinial Global, an association of independent accounting and consulting firms, has appointed Stephen Varley as interim CEO.
With over 30 years of public accounting and industry experience, Varley has been an integral part of the Allinial Global leadership team since his appointment as COO and executive VP of technical services in 2021. Throughout his 10 years at Allinial Global, he has developed keen insights into the association’s strategic vision and operational needs, making him an ideal leader to shepherd Allinial Global through its leadership transition.
Varley steps into the interim CEO role as the association’s global executive board continues its search for a successor to Mark Koziel, who departs in January 2025 to become CEO of AICPA and CIMA, together as the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.
