Forvis Mazars Announces New Leaders

IPA 100 firm Forvis Mazars (FY24 net revenue $2.15 billion) has announced a series of appointments and additions of leaders that reflect the firm’s continued growth and strategic direction.

Amy Smith has become chief talent officer, effective June 1. She joined the firm in December as chief talent officer-elect, serving alongside CTO Lori Haley to ensure a seamless leadership transition ahead of Haley’s retirement on May 31. Smith is a member of the senior leadership team reporting to CEO Tom Watson. Smith joins the firm with over 25 years of experience in human resources and operations leadership across multiple industries.

“I am grateful to join an organization with a culture that values employee experience, continuous talent development, and being your best self,” Smith said. “Our firm and our teams are clearly well positioned for exciting growth opportunities, and I look forward to helping our people unlock their full potential in the years ahead.”

Partners Tim York and Fran Randall join the U.S. Governing Board, which is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the firm, effective June 1. York becomes chair of the Governing Board, succeeding Matt Snow, who has served as board chair since 2022 and retired on May 31.

Partner and chief practice and innovation officer Rob Pruitt succeeds Snow as vice chair of the Global Network Board. John Kmetz joins the Global Network Board as a new member. Kmetz leads the U.S. firm’s national assurance and SEC practices and has more than 25 years of experience in client service and leadership roles.

The firm also announced the appointment of four new national sector leaders:

  • Aprille Bell – Infrastructure
  • Lindsay Conley – Consumer & Logistics
  • Jason Myers – Real Estate
  • Bryan Wright – Manufacturing

“Each of these sector leaders possesses a deep understanding of their industries and a strong commitment to our firm’s high standards for delivering an Unmatched Client Experience,” said Tim York, chief growth officer. “We know they will add instant value for our clients and for our team members as they step into their new roles.”

Lastly, the firm announced Tony Spratte as the next MP of the firm’s St. Louis and Decatur, Ill., practice unit, effective June 1. Spratte succeeds John Mather, who retired May 31 after leading the practice unit since 2021. “I am honored to be named as the next managing partner for the St. Louis-Decatur practice,” Spratte says. “We have an excellent team, and I look forward to helping the team build upon our recent momentum to grow the practice to its full potential and continue to be an employer of choice in our markets.”
