Houston-based IPA 100 firm Weaver (FY24 net revenue of $328 million) has announced David Wanis has joined the firm as a tax partner in the tax transactions practice. Based in California, Wanis will collaborate with Weaver’s transaction advisory and tax teams nationally to further expand the firm’s capabilities and market presence in complex tax matters.

With more than 25 years of experience in tax transactions and international tax, Wanis has held various leadership roles in the Big Four. He brings a wealth of experience advising corporations, private equity firms and institutional investors on tax structuring, mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions. Throughout his career, Wanis has advised clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies on operational tax strategy and ASC 740 compliance, working on deals ranging from several million to over $23 billion.
