Houston-based IPA 100 firm Weaver (FY24 net revenue of $328 million) has announced Robert Anderson has joined the firm as a director in its energy compliance services (ECS) practice. Based in Michigan, Anderson has 16 years of experience in the design, implementation and enforcement of EPA fuel compliance requirements.
Prior to joining Weaver, Anderson was the team leader for the Fuels Compliance Policy Branch at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He led a team responsible for implementing and overseeing the EPA’s national fuels programs, addressing thousands of compliance inquiries annually and spearheading significant regulatory reforms. Notably, he played a key role in streamlining the EPA’s fuel quality programs, saving the industry millions of dollars and reducing regulatory burdens.
Throughout his career, Anderson has worked with a wide range of government and industry stakeholders to promote sustainable fuel practices and compliance. His experience includes leading the EPA’s efforts to expand biofuels production, developing low-carbon intensity fuels and facilitating the use of E15 in gasoline vehicles. He has also authored significant rulemaking and led numerous initiatives that advanced regulatory efficiency and environmental stewardship.
