CohnReznick Announces South/West Regional Leadership Transition

New York-based IPA 100 firm CohnReznick (FY24 net revenue of $1.05 billion) has announced that Jason Burian will succeed George Klenovich in his role as the South/West regional MP upon Klenovich’s retirement on Jan. 31, 2025. Burian currently serves as the Chicago OMP.

Joining CohnReznick in 2009, Klenovich has served the firm in several key positions – as Chicago OMP, as a member of the executive board, and in his current role as regional MP, South/West. Under his leadership, the South/West region has grown to include 10 offices and more than 700 employees and has expanded into several new markets including Dallas and Denver.

Burian joined the firm as a senior associate in 2004. He was elected a partner in 2014 and has served as Chicago OMP since 2017. During his tenure, Burian helped double the revenue generated by the Chicago office by diversifying the client base and industries supported by the office. Focusing on operational excellence, he also led a partner group in transforming the processes and culture of the office. Burian currently serves as a member of the CohnReznick executive board.

“It has been a great privilege to be part of CohnReznick for 15 years and to help it grow geographically, financially and as a preferred workplace in our industry,” said Klenovich. “With Jason taking on my role as regional managing partner – South/West, I am confident the region and the firm are in great hands as we continue to seek out opportunities for our clients and our people.”

Burian said, “As CohnReznick continues to diversify our industries and services, there are so many ways we can support businesses with operations and interests in this very large region of the country. George has been a wonderful mentor and friend, and I am honored that he played a key role in the decision to offer me this outstanding opportunity.”

CohnReznick CEO David Kessler added, “I’ve been honored to work closely with George over the past 15 years. He has had a wonderful career, is a great strategic thinker, and his wisdom and business acumen has helped propel us forward in our South/West Region and as a firm. I’m excited for Jason to take this next step in his career and look forward to all he will accomplish.”
