BNN Managing Principal Dayton Benway to Retire from Firm at End of 2024

Portland, Maine-based IPA 100 firm Baker Newman Noyes (BNN) (FY22 net revenue of $59.3 million) announces the retirement of MP Dayton Benway effective at the end of 2024. Benway’s career at BNN spans over 24 years, including six years as managing principal. Over the next seven months, he will work closely with BNN’s management committee to ensure a seamless transition and assist the newly identified managing principal in succeeding in the role.

“I have always believed there is a time and place for every leader,” Benway said. “Keeping my own advice in mind, I have decided that my time leading BNN as managing principal should come to an end, and it’s time for the next leader to take the firm forward. The opportunity to serve as managing principal for the last six years has brought me overwhelming pride and joy. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to lead BNN and all we have accomplished together.”

BNN principal Rick Cyr added, “We are tremendously grateful to Dayton for his passion and dedication to BNN’s employees, clients and community partners and wish him all the best in this new chapter. We are equally thankful that Dayton will be part of a thoughtful and deliberate transition process to ensure his successor can guide BNN forward with all the wisdom, insight and expertise Dayton has given to the firm for so long.”
