AAM Recognizes Outstanding Achievements in Accounting Marketing

The Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM)’s annual summit held in Orlando, Fla., marked the recognition of outstanding professionals in the field with the announcement of the 2024 individual marketing achievement award recipients.

Becca Johns and Sarah Dobek were both inducted into the AAM hall of fame for their exemplary leadership and contributions. Johns, director of practice growth at IPA 100 firm Rea & Associates (FY22 net revenue of $70 million), showcased her strategic prowess through innovative marketing strategies, earning multiple AAM marketing achievement awards and holding key roles within AAM since 2005. Dobek, president of Inovautus Consulting, was acknowledged for her influential leadership in driving innovation, particularly through platforms like CPAsNET, and her active participation in AAM’s environmental scanning council.

Katie Tolin, chief growth guide of CPA Growth Guides, was named volunteer of the year for her dedication to AAM since 2003. Her leadership in forming partnerships with leading organizations such as the AICPA and CPA.com has strengthened AAM’s network and enhanced its standing within the accounting profession.

Glen Carmichael of YHB | CPAs & Consultants was honored as rookie of the year for her remarkable talent and dedication as a digital marketing coordinator. Carmichael’s digital marketing initiatives significantly improved brand visibility leading to a remarkable 30% year-over-year increase in lead generation and transformative impacts on her firm’s digital marketing strategies.

Stacy Dreher, director of practice growth at James Moore & Co., received AAM’s 2024 marketer of the year award for her outstanding performance in reshaping the firm’s marketing and sales strategies. Under her leadership, the firm has expanded its services and client base while integrating marketing technologies and strategic partnerships to deepen its market impact.
