FORVIS Appoints Ryan Swope as National Practice Leader

IPA 100 firm FORVIS (FY23 net revenue of $1.7 billion) has appointed Ryan Swope as its next national practice leader for loan review. Swope is a principal with FORVIS and has nearly 20 years of experience with the firm’s loan review and financial services practice.

He succeeds John Bourquard, who will retire on May 31. Swope’s new duties officially begin this month, and he is working closely with Bourquard through May to ensure a seamless transition for clients across FORVIS’ national footprint.

Swope has extensive experience managing loan review engagements and due diligence reviews for financial institutions. In addition to credit risk assessments, he provides consulting services in credit administration, cash flow analysis, loan underwriting and loan collateral documentation. Before joining FORVIS, Swope worked in the commercial credit department of a community bank.

“I’m honored to be chosen as our firm’s next leader for loan review and I look forward to working with our team members across the country to help clients unlock their full potential as they navigate an increasingly complex financial landscape,” Swope said.
