HCVT Welcomes Four New Partners in 2024

Los Angeles-based IPA 100 firm Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP (HCVT) (FY22 net revenue of $232.8 million) has announced that four professionals have been admitted to the partnership, effective Jan. 1.

Russell Dunbar, audit partner, Camarillo, Calif. – Dunbar brings over 15 years of public accounting experience and is a member of the firm’s employee benefit plan audit and advisory services practice. He has extensive technical knowledge in planning and performing employee benefit plan audits, including 401(k), defined benefit and 403(b) plans.

Casey Ford, tax partner, Fort Worth, Texas – Ford brings over 19 years of private industry and public accounting experience to the firm. He specializes in providing tax consulting, compliance and investor reporting to large, billion-dollar private equity organizations. He has experience addressing the complex tax issues associated with limited partner entities. Ford co-supervises much of the capital real estate platform within HCVT’s private equity industry group.

Stephen Squillario, partner and general counsel, West Los Angeles – Squillario brings over 15 years of experience as a trial lawyer to his role as general counsel and partner at HCVT. He worked on HCVT legal matters for years as a senior partner at the law firm Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP before officially joining HCVT in July of 2023. Squillario’s background includes providing counsel and representation to law firms and public accounting firms on such matters as professional liability, risk management, ethics, engagement agreements, contracts, billing issues and intra-partnership disputes.

Tanner Yeates, tax partner, Phoenix – Yeates joined HCVT in 2018 with the mission of building the firm’s practice in the Phoenix Area. He brings over 12 years of experience in public accounting and specializes in providing partnership tax consulting and compliance services. Yeates has extensive experience performing financial modeling for complex transactions. He focuses on the analysis of the tax efficiencies of proposed deal structures and conducts comprehensive tax due diligence.
