Expanding its presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, Canfield, Ohio-based IPA 100 firm Hill Barth & King LLC (HBK) (FY22 net revenue of $143.2 million) is merging in Woodbury, N.Y.-based Zapken & Loeb LLP.
Founded in 1991, Zapken & Loeb provides accounting, audit, tax and business advisory services to individuals and mid-size and small businesses, with a focus on manufacturing, family and other closely held businesses, wholesale and retail, not-for-profit, and trusts and estates. Among the Zapken & Loeb professionals joining HBK as part of the deal are Scott Anderson, Alex Charitos, Kieron Ludde, Tanvi Shah and Nachu Vellayappan as principals, along with Steve Bandini, Jeff Isaacson and Howard Zapken as senior directors.
