New York-based IPA 100 firm CohnReznick LLP (FY22 net revenue of $838.6 million) is adding the partners and employees of Boca Raton, Fla.-based Daszkal Bolton LLP (FY21 net revenue of $43.1 million).
“We are thrilled to be adding the talented Daszkal Bolton team to our firm so we can meet the demands of the market, support our clients’ investment and expansion throughout South Florida with our deep industry expertise and specialized services, and continue to attract and retain world-class talent,” says CohnReznick CEO David Kessler. “We share the same values when it comes to our culture, creating an environment where our people can thrive personally and professionally.”
Founded in 1992, Daszkal Bolton provides a wide range of accounting, tax and advisory services to growth-oriented companies and high-net-worth families in Florida communities such as Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, as well as around the country and the world. As part of the deal, MP Tim Devlin will continue to lead the firm’s Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Jupiter offices in collaboration with CohnReznick’s Mike Micholas, who leads the Miami office and the Mid-Atlantic region for CohnReznick. In addition, Daszkal Bolton executive committee members Teri Kaye, Scott Walters and Brett Burgan will continue to lead in their respective practice areas.
“Daszkal Bolton just celebrated its 30th anniversary as a firm,” adds Devlin. “As we look to build upon our legacy and create the best opportunities for our clients and team members in the future, we are confident CohnReznick’s culture, leadership and capabilities will accelerate our success.”
“Daszkal Bolton is one of the most prominent and respected CPA firms in South Florida and was courted by many regional and national firms,” says Allan Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group, who advised both firms on the combination. “In the end, they picked CohnReznick based on similar cultures, depth of resources, technology advancements and tremendous growth opportunities for Daszkal Bolton’s people. From a client perspective, CohnReznick’s depth of technical expertise, industry specialization and their broad array of advisory and consulting services were a key differentiator.”
