Houston-based IPA 100 firm Weaver (FY22 net revenue of $197.6 million) has admitted Mike Stein as a partner in its energy compliance services practice.
With more than 18 years of experience in the energy industry, Stein started his career as an intern with Weaver in 2004 and stayed with the firm for 15 years. During this time, he worked in the firm’s risk advisory services and energy compliance services groups, providing risk management, business process improvement and internal audit services, as well as attestation services required under the EPA’s Code of Federal Regulations. Most recently, he served as the director of financial projects for a publicly traded offshore oil and gas exploration and production company, focusing on a variety of reporting and energy transition-related issues.
“As one of the country’s leading providers of EPA attestation services, Weaver has an exceptional group of energy compliance professionals,” says CEO and MP John Mackel. “Mike’s understanding of the regulatory landscape will be beneficial to serving our clients and advising them on all of their fuel regulation compliance needs.”
