Atlanta-based IPA 200 firm Moore Colson CPAs and Advisors (FY21 net revenue of $40.3 million) has named Andy Starnes as its new MP. He assumes the role from Bert Mills, who has led the firm since 2014 and will continue to serve clients.
“Throughout his years at the firm, Andy has shown that he has the vision and dedication to take Moore Colson into the future,” says Mills. “He has a deep desire to serve clients at the highest level and the leadership skills to build a team that can do that.”
Starnes joined Moore Colson in 2000, became the firm’s construction practice leader in 2010 and became the tax practice leader in 2014.
“I look forward to continuing Bert’s legacy of positioning Moore Colson as the most forward-thinking firm in the Southeast,” says Starnes.
The firm also named partner Chris Arnone as its vice chair to work alongside Starnes. Arnone joined Moore Colson in 2005 and was the firm’s business assurance practice leader before being named to this new role. Additional executive leadership changes include partner Adam Bateman being named tax practice leader, partner Billy Boyd as risk advisory and compliance services practice leader, partner Christopher Fagan as transaction services practice area leader and partner Candace Jackson as business assurance practice leader.
