New York-based IPA 100 firm Citrin Cooperman & Company (FY21 net revenue of $351.8 million) is merging in entertainment industry advisory firm Chapman Bird & Tessler (CBT) of Los Angeles.
“The growth we’ve experienced in the past few months is unprecedented,” says Jamie Montanio, co-practice leader of Citrin Cooperman’s business management and family office practice, noting the firm’s three other acquisitions in the entertainment space over the past year. “The talent, opportunities and benefits we can bring to our clients and the larger market as a result is truly exciting for our team and our firm as a whole.”
Citrin Cooperman’s business management and family office practice focuses on legal, tax and advisory services for high-net-worth individuals, high-profile individuals and their families, and single-family and multi-family offices, while the firm’s bicoastal entertainment, music and sports industry group caters specifically to talent across various genres of film and television, music, sports, media, publishing and theatre.
“Citrin Cooperman is immersed in the entertainment industry and to be experiencing such incredible growth and transformation means that we are able to provide the expertise, guidance and perspectives needed for our clients through our business management and family office practice,” adds Citrin Cooperman CEO Alan Badey. “Jamie and her team are at the forefront of the industry, and we can’t wait to see all they will accomplish together.”
