Aprio Names First Chief Practice Officer

Mitchell

Atlanta-based IPA 100 firm Aprio LLP (FY21 net revenue of $170.8 million) has named Nicole Mitchell as its first chief practice officer, effective Jan. 1.

Mitchell is joining Aprio as part of its recently announced merger with IPA 100 firm Aronson LLC. Mitchell joined Aronson in 1998 and currently serves as the lead for the firm’s advisory services. In her new role as chief practice officer, she will provide leadership, coordination and guidance across Aprio’s specialty services and segments, including government contracting, non-profit and construction.

“As we enter this exciting new phase with Aprio, we cannot think of a better person than Nicole to step into this role and ensure we provide a truly exceptional client experience,” says Aronson’s Lexy Kessler, who will serve as Aprio’s mid-Atlantic regional leader. “It was evident to the team at Aprio that she is driven by her passion to develop solutions and help clients navigate challenges, and there’s no doubt that as we charge forward together as one firm, Nicole will support Aprio in further growth and new opportunities for our clients and for our team members.”
