John Barnes has been named OMP in Cleveland, succeeding tax partner Tom Freeman, who is retiring after 16 years with the firm. Barnes has 18 years of successive leadership roles within Grant Thornton, most recently having served as the leader of the firm’s advisory services practice in Ohio, Michigan and Western Pennsylvania. His industry experience includes engagements with multi-national manufacturing firms, technology companies, retailers and not-for profit organizations.

Jason Butler has been named OMP in Tulsa, Okla., succeeding audit partner Brad Stoots, who served in multiple leadership roles within the Tulsa office for more than 20 years. Butler has nearly 25 years of experience in public accounting and most recently served as the audit practice leader in Tulsa. He has served clients in the transportation, manufacturing and retail industries, among many others.

Chris Martin has been named OMP of the Boston office, succeeding audit partner Kim O’Connor, who is retiring after more than 18 years at the firm. Martin has nearly 25 years of experience in public accounting, and most recently served as the OMP of the firm’s office in Tampa Bay, Florida. He serves clients across a broad range of industries, including life sciences, technology and manufacturing, as well as hospitality and restaurants.

“These three leaders have already made an incredible impact during their time at Grant Thornton – and they are ideally suited to help clients and colleagues thrive and grow,” says CEO Brad Preber. “Chris, John and Jason each have a wealth of talent and experience and, most important, they embody Grant Thornton’s commitment to making business more personal and building trust into every result.”
