AAM Announces 2022 Honors

The Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) recognized three individuals for their outstanding achievements at its annual Summit in Louisville, Ky., this week:

Brenda Sleeper Inducted into the AAM Hall of Fame ­– Sleeper, director of business resource network relationships for Chicago-based BDO, has been honored for her dedication to the accounting marketing profession and the association. Described as a passionate change-maker, Sleeper has served in key marketing leadership roles in the profession for nearly 25 years. An AAM member since 2001, Brenda has made a strong impact as a connector and recruiter for AAM. In addition to her work on various committees, she was named AAM’s Volunteer of the Year in 2010 and served on the AAM Board of Directors from 2012-2016.

Korby Boswell Named Volunteer of the Year – Boswell, senior marketing and growth specialist with Great Bend, Kan.-based Adams Brown, has been recognized for his dedication to the association, involvement on committees and/or special projects, as well as professional accomplishments. An AAM member since 2017, Boswell chairs the member growth committee, and plays a vital role in creating 27 small communities of like-minded members sharing information around a specific topic, region or role. He was named Rookie of the Year in 2019.

Bethany Silvis Honored as Rookie of the Year ­– Silvis, marketing supervisor for Sarasota, Fla.-based Kerkering Barberio & Co. (KB), has been honored for her creativity, initiative and ambition. She joined the firm in 2018 and has improved KB’s social media activity and is updating the website, intranet and newsletters. She also manages digital webinars and presentations and is focused on client experience. She serves on an advisor to the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business.
