Hungerford Nichols Merges In Fellow Michigan Firm

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Hungerford Nichols CPA + Advisors is merging in Ferris Busscher & Zwiers PC of Holland, Mich.

Founded in 1959, Ferris Busscher & Zwiers provides a range of accounting and auditing services, including tax planning, employee benefit plans and services for non-profits. As part of the deal, partners Bill Borgman, Doug Rotman and Tony Zwiers, along with their team of more than 20, will join Hungerford Nichols and will continue to operate from their Holland office. Borgman will become a principal, while Rotman and Zwiers will be admitted as shareholders.

“[The Ferris Busscher & Zwiers team] is a great fit with our culture, demonstrating a high level of commitment to their employees, clients and the community,” says Hungerford Nichols managing shareholder Tom Prince. “We all strongly agree that the merger strengthens our ability to serve our clients in Holland, as well as to attract new ones along the lakeshore and throughout West Michigan.”
