Cotton & Company Admits Three to Partnership

IPA 200 firm Cotton & Company of Alexandria, Va. (FY20 net revenue of $32.7 million), has admitted Vijay D’Souza, Matt Gorman and Erin Meredith as partners.

D’Souza joins the firm’s assurance practice from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), where he was most recently a director of IT and cybersecurity. At GAO, he had 20 years of experience leading audits and reviews of government cybersecurity and IT issues, and also led GAO’s Center for Enhanced Cybersecurity.

Gorman joined Cotton & Company in 2019 as a senior manager in the firm’s assurance practice with extensive experience conducting federal financial statement audits and leading and managing large audit teams.

Meredith joined the firm’s contracts and grants / litigation practice in 2016 as a senior auditor, and has been responsible for managing a variety of performance, compliance and financial statement audits and examinations on behalf of federal agencies and not-for-profit organizations that are primarily funded by the federal government. Prior to joining Cotton & Company, she was responsible for conducting financial statement audits of executive branch agencies, participating in internal control assessments and providing consultative services to legislative branch agencies.
