PYA Admits Three New Principals

Knoxville, Tenn.-based IPA 100 firm PYA PC (FY20 net revenue of $55 million) has admitted Deborah Biggs as a principal and director of academic medicine consulting services and Jane Jerzak as a consulting principal. The firm has also promoted Patrick Lewis to principal in its client accounting advisory services practice.

Biggs brings more than two decades of academic medicine experience to PYA, having served as the chief operating officer at the University of Wisconsin and Central Michigan University. She has experience in governance models, health care regulatory compliance, M&A, strategic and financial planning, organizational and program development, policy and procedure development and implementation, and health care operations improvements. Prior to joining PYA, she most recently served as an entrepreneur and general counsel for three health care technology start-ups.

Jerzak brings three decades of audit and health care consulting experience to PYA in the areas of financial modeling, clinical data analytics and strategic advisory support. Along with the PYA business intelligence and managed care service lines, she assists health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and physician clinics to recognize appropriate reimbursement.

Lewis has nearly four decades of experience providing accounting and business advisory services as a corporate accounting and financial executive. He oversees PYA’s accounting services team, which provides financial statement compilation and preparation services to clients.

“As our firm continues to grow, PYA is seeking top talent to help us continue to meet the growing needs of our clients and serve them with the degree of excellence and helpfulness they can expect from us,” says PYA president and CEO Marty Brown. “The expertise [these principals] bring will be a great benefit to our clients and colleagues.”
