Grant Thornton Launches Enterprise Assurance Services Practice

Chicago-based IPA 100 firm Grant Thornton (FY25 net revenue of $2.46 billion) has launched an Enterprise Assurance Services practice that brings specialized assurance offerings under a single delivery model.

The practice, operated through Grant Thornton LLP, includes SOC services, employee benefit plan audits, sustainability assurance, structured finance and transaction-focused attestation, AI assurance and ISO certification services. Grant Thornton said the structure is intended to respond to growing demand for third-party assurance in areas such as technology, risk, sustainability and trust.

Among the new practice’s offerings is provisional accreditation to support AIUC-1 certification, which provides third-party assurance over controls governing agentic AI systems. The practice also offers ISO certification services intended to help organizations demonstrate compliance with established standards.

“Many organizations are looking for a single provider that can support a wide spectrum of assurance needs, rather than managing multiple firms, methodologies and reporting processes,” said Nicole Julius, national MP of Enterprise Assurance Services at Grant Thornton LLP. “By integrating these offerings, we’re helping clients streamline compliance, reduce duplication and work with one proven team as their needs continue to evolve.”

Grant Thornton said the practice uses dedicated subject-matter specialists rather than professionals who divide their responsibilities across multiple service lines. It is also supported by firms participating in the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform, which includes nearly 20 firms and more than 25,000 professionals across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
