Atlanta-based IPA 100 firm Mauldin & Jenkins (FY25 net revenue of $158.1 million) has appointed eight professionals to partner, effective Sept. 1.
The new partners span the firm’s governmental, advisory, private client services and education practices, as well as firm technology leadership.

Their appointment reflects both their individual accomplishments and the confidence we have in their continued leadership.”
The new partners are:
- Kirk Arich, governmental, who specializes in audit and attest services for state and local governments.
- Jason G. Clem, advisory, who specializes in business valuation, litigation support, consulting, planning and assurance services for governmental entities and nonprofits.
- Benjamin Ellis, CIO, who leads the firm’s technology vision and strategy, with experience spanning M&A, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance and digital transformation.
- Kevin D. Hakes, private client services, who advises middle-market business owners, closely held enterprises and high-net-worth families.
- Hays Lacey, private client services, who provides tax and advisory services to individuals, trusts, nonprofits and closely held and family-owned businesses.
- Brian Nicholson, governmental and education, who provides audit, attest and internal control consulting services to state and local government and education clients.
- Krystle Stell, governmental, who specializes in state and local government accounting and has nearly two decades of public accounting experience.
- Paul Stuart, private client services, who advises closely held businesses and their owners on tax planning, compliance and strategic growth.
