The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, which oversees AICPA and CIMA, has appointed Kathy King as vice president of communications and reputation, effective Aug. 17.
Based in Washington, D.C., King will lead the association’s global communications and reputation efforts, overseeing internal and external communications across its markets and stakeholder groups. She will report to Mark Koziel, AICPA president and CEO.
King returns to the association after previously serving as senior director of reputation and external affairs. Most recently, she led communications and brand strategy at the National Association of Corporate Directors. She has also held senior communications roles at PwC and CFA Institute.
“Kathy is a proven communications leader with deep experience in reputation management, executive communications, media relations and brand strategy,” Koziel said. “Her understanding of our organization, the accounting and finance profession, and the stakeholders we serve make her exceptionally well positioned to lead our communications and reputation efforts during a period of significant transformation across business and the profession.”
King brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, reputation management, public affairs and brand strategy.
