Albuquerque, N.M.-based IPA 100 firm NREDW Advisors & CPAs (FY25 net revenue of $69.8 million) appointed longtime principal Christopher Tyhurst as Phoenix office leader, overseeing an office that has grown to more than 120 professionals.
Tyhurst will also continue to serve as a principal in REDW’s audit and assurance practice, where he works with Tribal organizations, nonprofit health systems and government enterprises.
A nearly 30-year veteran of REDW, Tyhurst joined Albuquerque-based Erickson Allen in 1996, a year before the firm joined REDW, and was named principal in 2008. He relocated to Phoenix in 2013.
“The Greater Phoenix area has become one of REDW’s most strategically important growth markets, and strong local leadership is essential as we continue deepening our presence and relationships throughout Arizona,” said Maxwell Kagan, CFO of REDW. “Chris brings a unique combination of technical expertise, business acumen and collaborative leadership, along with a 30-year history with REDW.”
The appointment comes amid continued expansion for REDW. Earlier this year, the firm opened a Las Vegas office, acquired Soaring Bird Solutions and appointed Kagan as its first CFO.
