Johnson Lambert Launches Financial & Operations Advisory Practice for Insurance Organizations

Raleigh, N.C.-based IPA 200 firm Johnson Lambert (FY25 net revenue of $55.9 million) launched a Financial & Operations Advisory (FOA) practice focused primarily on insurance organizations, expanding the firm’s advisory services in financial operations, regulatory compliance, reporting, transactions and system implementations.

The practice will initially focus on commercial carriers, captive insurance companies, risk retention groups, managing general agents and specialty insurance organizations. Johnson Lambert said the practice will also support nonprofit organizations and employee benefit plans.

“Launching our Financial & Operations Advisory practice is a natural evolution for Johnson Lambert,” said MP Brandy Vannoy. “FOA extends the expertise our clients already rely on and positions the firm to address a broader range of their most pressing needs.”

The practice includes six service areas:

  • Strategic & CFO Advisory
  • Financial Operations & Reporting
  • Governance, Risk & Regulatory
  • Systems, Process & Data Transformation
  • Transaction Advisory Services
  • Reinsurance Accounting Automation

The practice is led by Principal Brandon Veler, who said, “Insurance organizations we work with are navigating real operational pressure points. Whether it’s leadership turnover, new regulatory requirements or major systems implementations, organizations need experienced professionals who can step in and move critical work forward without pulling internal finance teams away from their day-to-day responsibilities.”
