Farmington Hills, Mich.-based IPA 100 firm UHY (FY24 net revenue of $385.5 million) announced its combination with Newburgh, N.Y.-based IPA 200 firm RBT CPAs (FY24 net revenue of $33.1 million). Founded more than 55 years ago, RBT brings more than 175 professionals to UHY, including 23 partners.
UHY launched its national wealth management practice, UHY Wealth Management RIA, within the past year. Combined with RBT’s wealth management team, the practice now oversees approximately $1.5 billion in assets under management.
UHY has acquired more than 15 firms in recent years, expanding its footprint into markets including South Carolina, Tennessee and Ohio while serving clients ranging from closely held middle-market companies to Fortune 500 corporations.
“As UHY continues our growth trajectory we are actively aligning with firms that share our values, especially when it comes to delivering next-level client service,” said Steven McCarty, CEO of UHY. “RBT fits that bill. We will build on their commitment to client engagement by integrating our advanced technologies, international network and national wealth management practice so we can focus on operational excellence and deliver more for all our clients for years to come.”
“We have built a firm that our clients and communities trust, and we did that by establishing a client-centric culture where our people could thrive. It was clear that UHY shares those values. Their culture of entrepreneurship, focus on the middle market and commitment to personalized client service, mirrors who we are at RBT. This combination will give our team access to expanded resources and capabilities while allowing us to continue doing what we do best — delivering outstanding, relationship-driven accounting and advisory services to the businesses and individuals who count on us every day,” said Michael A. Turturro, CEO and MP of RBT.
