Sikich Partners with Basis to Advance AI-enabled Accounting Services

Chicago-based IPA 100 firm Sikich (FY24 net revenue of $438.9 million) announced a partnership with Basis, a platform that helps modernize accounting services through AI-enabled automation.

Sikich is incorporating the Basis platform into its client accounting services (CAS) delivery model. The platform integrates with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and automates components of month-end closing, transaction processing and reconciliation workflows.

“Sikich is focused on reimagining how accounting services are delivered in a more automated, data-driven and scalable way,” said Ashley Kegan, principal at Sikich. “Our work with Basis supports that vision by helping us streamline workflows, improve consistency and create more capacity for advisory and insights-driven engagement that delivers greater value for our clients.”

“What stood out to us about Sikich is that their approach to AI is both practical and strategic,” said Matt Harpe, CEO of Basis. “They’re focused on where it can make a meaningful difference in the work their teams do every day. Through our collaboration, we’re helping modernize how work gets done by reducing manual effort, improving consistency and creating more capacity for the judgment and insights that support stronger decision-making.”
