HubSync has launched HubSync Halo™, an AI operating system designed to automate and orchestrate the tax and accounting engagement lifecycle for CPA firms.
Embedded within the HubSync platform, HubSync Halo uses specialized AI agents to automate workflows across engagement management, document gathering, tax preparation, delivery and client advisory processes. The platform is designed to reduce manual administrative work and streamline engagement execution through automated orchestration and contextual awareness.
“Traditionally, most CPAs are buried in repetitive, time-consuming administrative work just to keep the process moving,” said John McGowan, founder and CEO of HubSync. “I’ve seen firsthand how much time firms lose to manual follow-ups, document collection, and data entry. HubSync Halo allows firms to spend less time chasing tasks and more time serving clients.”
HubSync Halo operates across five stages of the engagement lifecycle — engage, gather, prepare and review, deliver, and close and advise — automating tasks such as engagement letter drafting, document classification, tax data extraction, workflow management and client communication.
HubSync Halo is a context aware, agentic layer tailored to manage end-to-end engagement workflows. Its multi-agent architecture allows coordinated agents to operate across shared workflow context rather than isolated tasks.
The platform includes API-first architecture with Model Context Protocol integration for AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot. According to the company, client data is not stored by AI providers or used for model training, and all AI-driven actions are logged and auditable with human review checkpoints embedded throughout the workflow.
“Firms don’t need any more tools; what they need is a better way to operate,” McGowan added. “As AI takes on more of the manual execution, tax and accounting firms will be able to spend less time processing work and more time delivering strategic advice to clients.”
HubSync plans to demonstrate the platform at AICPA ENGAGE 2026 in Las Vegas in June.
