“What AI makes possible for middle-market businesses right now is extraordinary, and our clients deserve a firm built to unlock that,” said Richard Kopelman. “Rob Wellen and Robert Fraher expand what’s possible for our clients. From AI-driven business transformation to the most complex investment and real estate audits in the market, we’re building the firm our clients need today and in the future.”

Wellen joins the firm’s advisory practice in Chicago as a partner, leading the newly launched data and AI practice. He brings more than two decades of experience building and leading data and AI teams, with a focus on integrating AI, data, automation and governance solutions to drive measurable outcomes.

Fraher joins the firm’s assurance services practice in New York as an audit partner. He has more than 30 years of public accounting experience, including extensive work with private investment funds and commercial real estate clients. Prior to joining the firm, he spent three decades at a Big 4 firm, leading complex engagements across international markets.
