Phoenix-based IPA 100 firm REDW Advisors & CPAs (FY24 net revenue of $65 million) has acquired Soaring Bird Solutions LLC, expanding its advisory services for Tribal Nations and Tribal enterprises.
Founded in 2015, Soaring Bird Solutions supports Tribal governments, enterprises and nonprofits nationwide. The acquisition enhances REDW’s capabilities in human resources strategy, leadership development and organizational consulting.
Karla Bylund, founder and CEO, joins the firm as a principal in its HR consulting practice, leading the Tribal HR support service line alongside Cristin Heyns-Bousliman, principal and practice leader. Her Nevada-based team will join REDW and continue operating remotely.
“REDW has worked alongside Sovereign Tribal Nations for more than four decades, supporting Tribal governments and enterprises through advisory services,” said Steve Cogan, managing principal. “Karla brings more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience within Tribal communities, along with deep expertise in organizational strategy, compensation design, and workforce development.”
Bylund said the partnership reflects shared values. “After many conversations, it became clear that REDW shares our values, our commitment to clients, and our long-term vision for supporting organizations in Indian Country.”
