Houston-based IPA 300 firm McConnell & Jones LLP (FY24 net revenue of $24.1 million) has appointed William A. Taylor Jr. as Managing Partner following a two-year leadership transition.
The firm said William will assume the role at the conclusion of the structured transition period, at which time current Managing Partner Ira Wayne McConnell will become Chairman. The transition is designed to support continuity and maintain the firm’s strategic momentum.
William currently serves as a Tax Partner and brings prior experience as the leader of his own firm, Taylor CPA & Associates, which he built and managed for 25 years. The firm noted his leadership background, technical expertise and focus on client service as key factors in the decision.

During the transition, William will work closely with firm leadership while expanding responsibilities in strategic growth, talent development and infrastructure. The firm said he will also focus on strengthening operations and investing in people and technology.
