RBG Announces Leadership Transitions as Firm Enters 110th Year

Memphis, Tenn.-based firm Reynolds Bone & Griesbeck PLC (RBG) has announced several leadership transitions and appointments as the firm approaches its 110th anniversary.

Carl J. “Skeet” Haag, retired as firm managing partner effective Dec. 31, 2025, after 44 years with the firm. Haag will remain involved as partner emeritus beginning Jan. 1, providing advisory support during the leadership transition.

“During my time at RBG, I’ve learned that the real magic isn’t in the numbers—it’s in the people,” said Haag. “I’m proud of what we’ve built together, grateful for every memory, and confident in the bright future under Paul’s leadership. I’m just lucky to be part of RBG’s extraordinary 110-year story. Here’s to the next chapter—for all of us.”

Paul B. Berryhill, has been appointed firm managing partner effective Jan. 1. Berryhill joined RBG in 2008 and became a partner in 2015. He most recently served as tax managing partner, where he led significant growth in the firm’s tax practice.

“I’m honored to step into this role at such a meaningful time in RBG’s history,” said Berryhill. “Skeet’s leadership, vision, and commitment to our people have positioned the firm exceptionally well. As we look ahead, my focus is on ensuring continuity for our clients and our team while continuing to evolve and grow in ways that stay true to our mission and our 110-year legacy.”

As part of the leadership transition, Chad Boyd, has been named tax managing partner. Boyd joined the firm in 2019 as a tax partner and serves privately owned companies and their families, with a focus on real estate, service-based and manufacturing businesses.

The firm also announced the appointments of Benjamin Alexander, and Erica Smith, as audit principals, reflecting RBG’s continued focus on developing the next generation of leadership.

“These appointments reflect our belief that strong firms are built by investing in people,” Berryhill added. “These transitions bring emerging leaders to the forefront while preserving the institutional knowledge and culture that define RBG.”

Founded in 1916, Reynolds Bone & Griesbeck PLC will celebrate its 110th anniversary in 2026, marking more than a century of service to clients across the Mid-South.
