Richey May Announces Acquisition of Wagner Kaplan, Expanding National Firm

Englewood, Colo.-based IPA 200 firm Richey May (FY24 net revenue of $57.69 million) has announced the acquisition of Wagner Kaplan Duys & Wood LLP, a tax and advisory services firm known for its long-standing client relationships and specialized expertise.

The acquisition supports Richey May’s continued expansion of its national platform, bringing together firms aligned around specialization, technology-enabled service delivery and a people-first culture. As part of the transaction, Wagner Kaplan will immediately adopt the Richey May brand, consistent with the firm’s national brand transition across recently joined practices.

With the addition of Wagner Kaplan, clients gain access to expanded resources, deeper technical expertise and broader specialty services while maintaining continuity with existing service teams and industry focus.

Clients of Wagner Kaplan will continue working with the same professionals they trust, now supported by Richey May’s national capabilities, technology and infrastructure.

Allan D. Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group, who advised WKDW on the deal commented, “WKDW is one of the preeminent CPA and Advisory firms in the greater DC market. Their combination with Richey May provides a tremendous strategic lift and growth opportunity to both firms. I would expect to see more high performing firms combining with Richie May going forward.”
