Winding River Consulting Expands Leadership Team with Rachel Anevski

Winding River Consulting has added Dr. Rachel Anevski as managing director of leadership and people, expanding the firm’s leadership, coaching and people advisory capabilities as firms place increased emphasis on leadership development, growth and succession planning.

Dr. Anevski specializes in executive and organizational development, helping professional services firms align people strategy and leadership capabilities with long-term business objectives. Her work includes executive development, leadership programming, coaching, change management, succession planning and advisory services supporting firms through growth, scale and transition.

“Rachel brings a rare ability to connect leadership development with long-term growth and succession goals,” said David Toth, Chief Growth Officer. “Her expertise allows Winging River to further customize leadership programs that help firms build career pathways and develop and support future leaders.”

Dr. Anevski partners with accounting firms to identify, develop and retain talent across the employee lifecycle, from entry-level recruitment through executive leadership.

“As firms navigate change and increasing complexity, the ability to clearly articulate how leaders grow within the organization becomes a differentiator,” said Dr. Anevski. “My focus is elevating people — making them the priority — by helping organizations think holistically about how they attract, develop, and prepare leaders at every stage. The core of what I do is strategy with a people purpose.”

Dr. Anevski is co-author of Accounting for Times: Evolve or Dissolve and author of Train Your Successor™ (2025). She is a frequent speaker and facilitator on leadership strategy, business development, communication, DiSC personality assessments and advisory skill development for professional services firms.

In her role, Dr. Anevski will work closely with Gary Shamis, David Toth and Brian Blaha, to support firms navigating a competitive and rapidly evolving environment.
