Maner Costerisan Names New Board Members, Promotes Four to Principal

Lansing, Mich.-based IPA 200 firm Maner Costerisan (FY24 net revenue of $46.36 million) has announced leadership advancements, including the appointment of Jeff Allen and Kyle Schafer to its board of directors and the promotion of four professionals to principal. 

“Jeff and Kyle bring strong strategic perspective and deep client experience to our board, which is critical as the firm continues to grow and evolve,” said Trey Williams, CPA, president of Maner Costerisan. “At the same time, our newest principals reflect a broader view of leadership—one that values operational excellence, client impact and flexible career paths alongside technical expertise.” 

Jeff Allen has more than 18 years of experience and specializes in valuation, expert witness services, financial consulting and fractional CFO work. He joined the firm in 2006, returned in 2018 after gaining corporate experience and has played a key role in expanding the firm’s consulting practice. 

Kyle Schafer joined Maner Costerisan in 2009 and serves as a principal in the audit department. He specializes in assurance and attestation services for nonprofit organizations, including Uniform Guidance compliance audits, and is actively involved in the firm’s nonprofit and audit committees. 

In addition, the firm promoted Tyler BakerAbby DaughertySteven Guipe, and Kris Latchaw, to principal. 

Tyler Baker joined the firm as an intern in 2014 and now serves in the audit department, specializing in governmental audit and advisory services for municipalities and school districts. 

Abby Daugherty serves in the accounting and outsourced solutions department, delivering customized outsourced services to clients. She began her career at the firm in 2013 and later returned in a part-time capacity. 

Steven Guipe has been named principal and director of wealth management, where he leads Maner Wealth and works with clients on comprehensive, long-term financial planning strategies. 

Kris Latchaw oversees firm operations, finance, human resources and internal support services. She has more than 20 years of experience in the accounting industry and is active in the CPA Firm Management Association at the national level. 

Maner Costerisan said the promotions reflect the firm’s commitment to recognizing leadership and impact across a range of roles and career paths while continuing to invest in long-term growth and client service.
