Albuquerque-based IPA 100 firm REDW Advisors & CPAs (FY24 net revenue of $65.04 million) has announced that Caitlin Gutierrez, has been promoted to principal in the firm’s national risk advisory services practice.

In her new role, Gutierrez will provide strategic leadership and senior oversight for risk assessments, internal audit and advisory engagements across REDW’s national client base. She will guide clients through financial, operational, regulatory and technology-related risks while helping strengthen governance, internal controls and compliance frameworks. Gutierrez will also support the continued growth and evolution of the firm’s risk advisory services practice and will continue working from REDW’s Albuquerque office.
Gutierrez joined REDW in 2008 and has built her career at the firm. She began in the wealth management practice and later advanced into portfolio management and SEC compliance roles before joining the tax department. She transitioned to risk advisory services in 2017, where she has since focused on delivering risk management and advisory solutions to clients nationwide.
Gutierrez is active in the profession and the community. She was named a Woman to Watch by the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants in 2022 and received the organization’s Impact Award in 2025. She currently serves on the NMSCPA board and has volunteered with the society’s Women’s Leadership Summit, Scholarship Committee and Awards Committee.
