Bethesda, Md.-based IPA 200 firm GRF CPAs & Advisors (FY24 net revenue of $53.15 million) has announced that Lisa Heller will assume expanded leadership responsibilities as director of the firm’s nonprofit tax services department, effective January 1, 2026.
Heller succeeds Richard (Dick) Locastro who has served in a leadership role within the department since 2007. Locastro will remain an active member of GRF’s nonprofit tax services group and continue to support clients and colleagues.
Heller joined GRF in January 2024 as a principal, bringing more than 25 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, Heller has advised tax-exempt organizations on compliance and advisory matters and frequently writes and speaks on issues impacting the nonprofit sector. She previously served as chair of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs Nonprofit Symposium and currently serves as vice chair of the AICPA Exempt Organizations Tax Technical Resource Panel.
“GRF is pleased to have Lisa Heller assume the role of Director, Nonprofit Tax Services,” said Jackie Cardello, president and MP of GRF. “Her nonprofit tax expertise and leadership strengthen our team and support continued growth in the nonprofit sector. I also want to thank Dick Locastro for his tireless leadership of the NP Tax team and his unwavering dedication to GRF.”
“I am excited for Lisa’s transition to lead GRF’s Nonprofit Tax Service Department and support her continued success with GRF,” Locastro said.
