New York-based IPA 100 firm CohnReznick (FY24 net revenue of $1.15 billion) has announced that Ryan Sturma has joined the firm as a partner in its financial services practice. Based in Boston, Sturma will lead audit and assurance teams serving private equity and venture capital funds, mutual funds, broker-dealers, investment advisers and management companies.
Sturma brings extensive experience serving public and private financial services clients, with expertise in U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting, shareholder reporting, security counts, seed audits, net capital and custody rule compliance and internal controls, including SOX 404.
In addition to fund and valuation experience, Sturma has led complex global group audits, managing consolidation, tax and transfer pricing and local statutory requirements across EMEA, APAC and the Americas. He has also worked closely with internal audit teams to design and execute controls testing programs.
